Celestia
Choreography by Julianna Rubio Slager (2025)
One-Act Ballet | 30 Minutes | Original Score & Visual Design

Celestia is a one-act ballet that invites audiences to lift their eyes—and their imaginations—toward the stars. In this 30-minute meditation on the eternal, choreographer Julianna Rubio Slager blends sweeping movement, layered ensemble work, and immersive visual design to explore humanity’s deep yearning for heaven.

The work draws on the poetry of scripture, the mystery of the cosmos, and the quiet ache for something more. Rather than offering answers, Celestia moves like a constellation—glimpses of light that point beyond themselves. It is a ballet about beauty as a signpost, wonder as a guide, and the possibility that divine truth is not far from us, but written into the very fabric of the universe.

Suspended between earth and eternity, Celestia invites the viewer into awe.
